MIXED MEDIA refers to the use of several elements in one painting.  It involves collage, layering, applications of papers and fabric, and recycled elements such as clock parts, packing paper, cardboard shoe inserts, and plant materials.  Adding words to these creations is also an important part of the design -- it's the English teacher in me that remains!
